Act with the Atlanta Dream to Take Place Dec. 13

ATLANTA, Dec. 12, 2012  The Atlanta Dream will host an event to focus attention on supporting local nonprofit organizations when Act With the Atlanta Dream is held on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. at 200 Office in downtown Atlanta.

Dream CEO Ashley Preisinger, head coach Fred Williams and point guard Lindsey Harding will be joined by Danita Knight, chair of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Womens Foundation, and several marquee organizations at the event, which was created to help raise awareness, bring exposure to, and encourage donations for nonprofit organizations in the Metro Atlanta area. Attendees will learn how they can get involved with the Atlanta Dream to support nonprofit organizations.

Live raffles will take place throughout the evening, and all proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations. Those organizations set to benefit from the event include:

The two-time Eastern Conference champion Atlanta Dream will compete in its sixth season in the Womens National Basketball Association (WNBA) in 2013. The Dream qualified for the playoffs in each of the past four seasons, including back-to-back conference titles in 2010 and 2011.
