MISSING BRAZILIAN CONNECTION

June 12, 2008 - Atlanta: Dream guard, Iziane Castro Marques is currently in Brazil participating in the Olympic qualifying tournament for the Brazilian National Team. Castro Marques is expected to return to the United States on June 16, 2008. She has been replaced in the starting lineup by rookie guard Tamera Young. The other Atlanta Dream Brazilian star, forward/center Erika De Souza, will be out indefinitely after suffering a lower leg fracture during the team�s game against the Washington Mystics on May 27, 2008. The injury will not require surgery, but De Souza is expected to miss at least four weeks. At the time of her injury, De Souza was among the league leaders in rebounds, averaging nine boards per game. De Souza recorded a league-high 18 rebounds in her debut with the Dream on May 23, 2008, shattering her career-high of nine rebounds.
