DREAM WAIVES CHIOMA NNAMAKA and ANN STROTHER

ATLANTA, January 14, 2009� The Atlanta Dream announced today the team has waived guard Chioma Nnamaka and forward Ann Strother

Nnamaka was acquired in a 2008 draft day deal with the San Antonio Silver Stars. The 6-0 guard from Georgia Tech averaged 1.3 ppg and 1.0 rpg in 12 games last season for the Dream.

Strother, a 6-3 forward from the University of Connecticut, appeared in 21 games last season for the Dream, averaging 1.9 ppg, 0.6 rpg and 0.3 apg. She was acquired by the Dream from the Indiana Fever during the WNBA Expansion Draft on February 6, 2008. Strother is averaging 2.0 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game in her three-year WNBA career.
