DREAM SIGN FORWARD SANDORA IRVIN

ATLANTA, March 23, 2011� The Atlanta Dream announced today the team has signed forward Sandora Irvin to a training camp contract.

Irvin, a 6-3 forward, appeared in 18 games for the Chicago Sky last year. The third overall pick in the 2005 WNBA Draft, Irvin played her first two seasons in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury before being acquired by the San Antonio Silver Stars in 2007 via trade. Irvin spent two seasons with the Silver Stars, helping the team to back-to-back playoff appearances. She is averaging 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in five seasons in the WNBA.

Irvin is one of the most decorated student-athletes in Texas Christian University history, earning All-American honors as a senior. She finished her collegiate career as the school�s all-time leader in scoring, rebounds and blocked shots and also held the NCAA record for career blocked shots.

The Atlanta Dream is the defending Women�s National Basketball Association�s (WNBA) Eastern Conference Champion. The team tips-off the 2011 season at home on June 5, versus the New York Liberty at Philips Arena.
