Player Testimonial & Youth Inspiration Night 2008

Your Atlanta Dream have partnered with HEAT (Holistic Education for the Advancement of Teens) for Players Testimonial & Youth Inspiration Night.

"The HEAT is on" across Metro Atlanta as Holistic Education for the Advancement of Teens empowers all teens to press toward a full and balanced life � mentally, physically, emotionally & spiritually, equips others to guard against risky behaviors that have sidelined many of their peers, and embraces youth who desire to rebound from past mistakes.

Through character-based programming, HEAT reaches beyond youth development towards positively impacting the entire family unit and ultimately each child's community. Community outreach is the hallmark of our success, and we are privileged to partner with schools, public housing authorities, group homes, churches, youth development organizations, community centers, and now, even the WNBA's Atlanta Dream to make a difference in the lives of our youth.

Come out and enjoy a real heart-to-heart testimonial from two Atlanta Dream players. This is a great opportunity for Metro Atlanta�s youth to receive an inspiring message from some of Atlanta�s elite athletes. This event will be filled with exciting as well as touching and inspiring moments in these player�s lives. The Dream players will speak on subjects such as the pros and cons of decision making, the role peer pressure plays in everyday life and more. This event will also include the recognition of the winners of the Atlanta�s Inspiring Youth contest. The winners will receive a plaque / certificate, Atlanta Dream Autographed item, and a picture with the two players. Be sure to nominate your inspiring youth today! The last day to submit a nomination for your inspiring youth is August 15th.
