The Atlanta Dream take on the Connecticut Sun in an Opening Day rematch. The Dream are hoping to avoid the worst start in WNBA history with a win against the Sun. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm EST at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Connecticut won the first matchup between the two teams, 100-67, on May 17, 2008 in the Dreams first game in franchise history. In that game, Tamika Whitmore recorded a double-double for the Sun with 22 points and ten rebounds. The Dreams leading scorer was Betty Lennox, who finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.

Camille Little had been traded to the Seattle Storm in exchange for Seattles 2009 second-round draft pick. The Dream then signed free agent forward/center and former Georgia Tech player Kasha Terry, who has played the last three seasons with the Indiana Fever.

Lindsay Whalen who is among the league leaders in assists per game but is also one of the teams top scorers and rebounders. The Sun also boast a formidable front line with forwards Ashja Jones and Tamika Whitmore and guard/forward Barbara Turner providing a lift off the bench.

Dream fans can catch all the action live on 1230/1340 AM. The Dream return home for three games next week, highlighted by a nationally televised matchup with the Phoenix Mercury on July 1, 2008.
