Dream Overseas Update- February 23, 2009

Iziane Castro Marques is competing for Extrugasa in Spain, where she is averaging 17.1 points, 2.3rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

Erika De Souza is helping Ros Casares in Spain to a very successful season (19-1). De Souza is averaging 13.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Ros Casares recently knocked off Russian power Spartak , 73-71, in Euroleague action.

Kristin Haynie and her Greek team Paleo Faliro sit in fifth place with a record of 12-8. Haynie recorded 12 points and five assists in her last game, a close loss to Apollon Kalamaris.

Ivory Latta is averaging 16 points and 3.5 assists per game for Maccabi Ramat Hen in Israel (games through February 15).

Sancho Lyttle is averaging 18 points, 11.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game for Ibiza in Spain. In her most recent game, Lyttle recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in an 86-74 loss to San Jose.

Michelle Snow led Halcon Avenida in Spain to a sweep of MiZo P�cs 2010 with an 81-76 victory. Snow recorded a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Tamera Young (pictured left) is competing for SK Cesis in Latvia. In her last two games, Young is averaging 12.5 points and six assists in 24 minutes per game.

Dream Overseas Update- January 20, 2009

Erika De Souza recorded 17 points and seven rebounds as Ros Casares defeated Cadi la Seu 107-71. Ros Casares is now 14-1 in league action.

Kristin Haynie helped Paleo Faliro improve to 10-4 on the season with a 75-55 victory over Megas Aleksandros in Greece.

Despite solid play all season from Jennifer Lacy, Beijing was knocked out of contention in the WCBA playoffs, losing to Liaoning.

In her first bit of action with Maccabi Ramat Hen, Ivory Latta (pictured right) helped her new team win the Israeli Cup, 72-71 over Electra Ramat Hasharon. Latta scored a team-high 25 points and hit the game-winner to give Ramat Hen the championship.

Betty Lennox was not in action for Nadezhda Orenburg in the team�s most recent game against UMMC. Against Slavyanka on December 21, Lennox exploded for 38 points and added ten rebounds in a 98-46 victory.

Kasha Terry is averaging 10 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game for Utext Row Rybnik in Poland.



Dream Overseas Update- December 1, 2008

Alison Bales (pictured left) helped Samsun improve its record to 4-2 with a victory over �ankaya �niversitesi.

Iziane Castro Marques scored 11 points for Villeneuve d�Ascq, but it wasn�t enough as her team lost to Gambrinus in Euroleague action. Castro Marques is averaging 15.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Coming off a season-high 20 points in her last outing, Kristin Haynie helped Paleo Faliro to a victory over Apollon Kalamarias in Greece. Haynie recorded seven points, six rebounds and six assists as her team improved to 3-4.

Jennifer Lacy turned in a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds as her Beijing team improved to 8-5 on the season with a victory over Yunan.

Ivory Latta scored a game-high 21 points and added six assists as her Ceyhan squad lost to Tarsus, dropping to 2-4 in Turkish League action.

Betty Lennox has joined her team (Nadezhda Orenburg) in Russia. Lennox scored in double figures in her first two games with the team, which is now 3-4 in Euroleague play.

Union Hainaut is in the mix in Euroleague action. Chioma Nnamaka scored 10 points in an 80-69 victory over Sibenik as her team improved to 3-4. Nnamaka is averaging 8.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Jiangsu improved its record to 9-4 in WCBA action. Ann Strother recorded eight points and eight rebounds in a win over Shanghai.

Utex Row Rybnik improved to 9-4 in the Polish League. Kasha Terry scored 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds in a win over Cukierki. Terry is averaging 10.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

Extrugasa is currently participating in the Eurocup competition. Tamera Young is averaging 12.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in ten games this season.



Dream Overseas Update- November 19, 2008

Alison Bales helped Samsun to another win in the Turkish League, recording 13 points and eight rebounds in a win over Tarsus.

Iziane Castro Marques (pictured right) helped Villeneuve d�Ascq get back in the win colum, scoring 19 points in a victory over Nantes in Euroleague action. In three games with Villeneuve, Castro Marques is averaging 15.7 points, 1.3 assists and 2.0 steals.

Ros Casares will be without center Erika De Souza for the next three weeks. De Souza will miss the next three weeks due to a leg muscle injury, according to the club. She has averaged 14.2 points and 9.6 rebounds in the first five games of the EuroLeague Women.

Kristin Haynie made her second appearance in uniform for Paleo Faliro, scoring eight points in a loss to Aris Holargos.

Jennifer Lacy checked in from China this week to give Dream fans an inside scoop on her season. In her last game, Lacy helped her Beijing team to a victory over Zhejang, recording 10 points and three rebounds.

Union Hainaut improved its record to 6-4 on the season. Chioma Nnamaka scored 16 points in a 76-64 victory over Reims in French League action.

Ann Strother led Jiangsu to another victory, recording 13 points, four rebounds and five steals as the team improved to 6-4 on the season.

Utex Row Rybnik continued its winning ways in Poland. Kasha Terry recorded 12 points and seven rebounds to help Rybnik improve to 7-4 on the year. She is averaging 9.9 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.

Despite ten points and eight rebounds from Tamera Young, Extrugasa dropped its fourth consecutive game, losing to Olesa. Young is averaging 14 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.



Dream Overseas Update- November 10, 2008

Alison Bales recorded four points and 12 rebounds in a 76-53 victory for Samsun over Ivory Latta's Ceyhan squad in Turkey. Bales also recorded four blocks in the game.

Iziane Castro Marques scored 19 points for Villeneuve d'Ascq in a 70-64 loss to Challes-les-Eaux in a French League showdown.

Ros Casares is off to a 6-1 start behind the play of center Erika De Souza. De Souza is averaging 13 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Ros Casares defeated Chioma Nnamaka's Union Hainaut team in EuroLeague action and then knocked off Celta Indepo. De Souza finished with eight points and ten rebounds in the victory.

In China, Jennifer Lacy had a big outing for Beijing in a victory over Liaoyang. Lacy finished with a double-double, recording 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Ivory Latta led Ceyhan with 18 points and four rebounds in a loss to Samsun in Turkey. Latta's team fell short 76-53 against her Dream teammate Alison Bales and Samsun.

Chioma Nnamaka is averaging 6.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game for Union Hainaut in France. Nnamaka scored nine points in her last game, a 62-61 loss to Arras.

Ann Strother continues to play well for Jiangsu in China. In her most recent game, Strother led all scorers with 19 points in a close loss to Bayi Telecom.

Kasha Terry (pictured above) is averaging 9.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in ten games for Rybnik in Poland.

In her first season overseas, Tamera Young recorded 11 points and seven rebounds as Extrugasa Vilagarcia lost a heartbreaker to Hondarriba, 83-82. Young is averaging 14.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in seven games for Extrugasa.



Dream Overseas Update- November 3, 2008

Iziane Castro Marques made her debut for Villeneuve d'Ascq in France. Castro Marques scored 10 points in an 83-76 loss to Calais.

Erika De Souza is having a big impact in Spain. De Souza recorded 19 points and seven rebounds for Ros Casares in a 101-54 blowout against Gran Canaria.

Kristin Haynie signed with Paleo Faliro in Greece. Because she had not yet begun practice with the team, Haynie did not appear in the team's loss to Athinaikos. Paleo Faliro is currently 2-1 with their next game scheduled for November 9.

Chioma Nnamaka (pictured right) is finding success with Union Hainaut in France. Her team is currently 7-1 in the French League and 2-1 in Euroleague standings. Nnamaka recorded 13 points in a comeback victory, 85-82, against Lotos on October 30.

Dream teammates Jennifer Lacy (Beijing) and Ann Strother (Jiangsu) faced off in opposing uniforms over the weekend. Jiangsu won the matchup 70-64 behind Strother's 15 points and six rebounds. Lacy finished with eight points and six rebounds in the contest.

Tamera Young continued her strong play in Spain, scoring a game-high 19 points for Extrugasa in 63-61 loss to Rivas Ec�polis.



Dream Overseas Update- October 27, 2008

Erika De Souza (pictured left) has helped Ros Casares get off to a hot start in Spain. In two Euroleague games, De Souza is averaging 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. De Souza recorded 24 points and 16 rebounds in an October 18 matchup against Halcon.

The season just got underway for Jennifer Lacy in the WCBA. Lacy is competing for Beijing. In her most recent game, she recorded seven points and three rebounds against Bayi Telecom.

Ivory Latta is off to a quick start in Turkey for Ceyhan. Latta led all scorers with 31 points in an 82-80 loss to Pank�p in their second game of the year. Latta was 10-19 from the field and seven of nine from the line. She connected on four three pointers in the game and added five rebounds, five assists and three steals in the loss.

Ann Strother is making an immediate impact in China. Strother is in Nanjing after signing with Jiangsu of the WCBA. She recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds against Liaoyang in an 84-83 loss.

Kasha Terry is playing for Rybnik in Poland. She scored ten points and five rebounds in her most recent game. Terry is averaging 10.1 points and 6.8 rebounds in nine games this season.

In her first season overseas, Tamera Young seems to have made the transition effortlessly in Spain. Young is leading Extrugasa Vilagarcia in scoring, averaging 14.4 points in five games this season. In a Eurocup matchup against the Italian team Ribera on October 23, Young exploded for 26 points in 36 minutes, shooting 10-15 from the field. Young also added five rebounds in an 81-67 victory.
